We make our Copper Plant Sticks from bare spun copper wire, which has a beautiful spiral finish and makes the wire stronger. As with any metal, some discoloring may occur over time with use and watering. The copper wire may develop a natural patina. If you prefer, you can clean and restore it with vinegar and a soft cloth.
