The clusters of Chinese Blue Wisteria are 6-12 inches long - shorter than Japanese Wisteria. Another interesting difference is that the searching tendrils of Chinese Blue Wisteria grow counter clockwise, while those of Japanese Wisteria spiral clockwise!
This beautiful, quick growing vine is easy to grow from seed! Wisteria needs something sturdy to grow on, like a trellis or pergola, as well as regular pruning. Do not allow it to grow on a tree, as it will strangle the tree.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS
SEED PRETREATMENT: Soak seeds in water for 24 hours.
STRATIFICATION: No stratification period is required
POST-STRATIFICATION: Sow soaked seeds 1/4” deep, ideally in a peat/perlite mix. Soil temperatures between 13-18°C for best germination results.
GERMINATION: When all previously mentioned requirements are fulfilled, germination generally occurs in 30-60 days.
