We've partnered with Ananas Anam, the creators of Piñatex® to create these multi-functional Plant Coasters. Piñatex® is a natural, non-woven material made from pineapple fibers. Our Coasters were created using 2 layers of Piñatex®, with the intent to be used as a mat to place your houseplants on top of. They protect your table from both scratches and water rings.
Pair with our PLANT POTS as shown in images - Available in sizes 3" / 4" / 5"
BONUS: doubles as a coaster / trivet for cups and hot pots / dishes.
Coasters were laser cut in Los Angeles and sewn in Durham, North Carolina.
About Piñatex®
This responsibly-sourced, cruelty-free and vegan material is a by-product of the agricultural industry. Pineapple leaves are the waste product that are burnt or thrown away after a pineapple harvest in the Philippines. In order to create this material, the leaves are collected, fibers are extracted and then go through a rigorous cleaning process and finally manufactured into a non-woven substrate.
- Materials: Piñatex®
- 100% Vegan, Peta Approved, Water resistant, + Biodegradable
- CARE: Do not place excessively wet or hot items on the coaster. Wipe clean with a dry cloth, do not wash or soak. Let dry naturally when wet.
- DIMENSIONS:
- Mini - 2" diameter
- Small - 4" diameter
- Medium - 6" diameter
