Schefflera ‘Moonlight’ is a striking evergreen foliage plant known for its glossy, lime-green leaves and elegant, upright growth habit. A cultivar of the popular Dwarf Umbrella Tree, this variety stands out with its brighter, almost luminous foliage that instantly freshens indoor spaces. Its leaflets form in a classic umbrella shape, creating a full, layered look that works beautifully in modern homes, offices, and shaded patios.
This hardy plant thrives in bright, indirect light but can also adapt to medium light conditions, making it a versatile indoor choice. While it tolerates lower light better than many tropical plants, brighter conditions will encourage fuller growth and more vibrant colour. Water when the top layer of soil feels dry, allowing excess water to drain freely to prevent root rot. Schefflera ‘Moonlight’ prefers well-draining soil and benefits from moderate humidity, though it adapts well to typical indoor environments.
With its upright, bushy form, this plant can be grown as a compact tabletop feature or allowed to mature into a taller floor plant. Regular light pruning encourages a denser, more balanced shape. Occasional feeding during the growing season supports healthy growth and maintains its lush appearance.
